Scope of Responsibilities PMC Structural Lead Engineer reports to the Project Engineering Manager(PEM), co-ordinates with Client(Owner) and will be the responsible for management of Structural Engineering on the projects. Assume responsibility to lead the Structural design team and provide necessary technical information to the other disciplines during the project. The PMC Structural Lead Engineer is overall responsible for required technical performance of Structural design to meet project objectives. Primary Duties Responsible to supervise and provide guidance to Structural design team of the EPC contractor, on behalf of the Client/Owner Review, approve, guide and supervise the detail engineering work of the EPC Contractors and ensure compliance of Project Specification, Design Basis, Codes & Standards, Local Regulations. Review and respond to the technical queries or deviation raised by the EPC Contractors. Establish an efficient and effective interface between Project management team, Client (Owner), Contractor and vendors. Must possess good track experience in execution of works for large upstream onshore and offshore projects assuming total responsibility for the work with accountability to the Owner. Review and approve the Contractor submitted design documents as per Project Specification within the project defined time frame and budget. Advise PMT and Client (Owner) on resolution of key technical issues and specifications. Analysis and approve the various structural items as per design basis, project specifications, design codes and standards. Provide guidance to EPC contractor in preparation of structural framing layout and general arrangement drawings. Handling of SACS/SESAM or equivalent is must. Knowledge of USFOS, GRLWEAP, MOSES etc is advantage. Prepare/Supervise the preparation of Structural reports and philosophies as part of the design. Ensure the successful execution of the PMC activities through proper staffing Ensure the quality system of the project is executed in accordance with the contract. Manage functional and contractual interfaces. Manage with EPC Contractors and Vendors. Daily interface, receiving all instruction from Client’s representatives. Represent Client in all required project elements and activities Attend to resolve or to provide recommendation on major issues related to the project as required by client or the ministry. Use the best efforts to settle disputes among the FEED/EPC Contractors, vendors and Client. Monitor all key project performance indices against objectives. Interact with Quality Assurance for quality issues and strictly ensure compliance with Company’s ISO Quality procedures. Coordinate Internal and Client audit requests, facilitate audit procedures of engineering systems within the project Interface and provide clarification and guidance and technical support to construction sites and commissioning engineers to provide startup assistance as required
