We are currently looking for a Subcontracts Administrator ( Chartered Quantity Surveyor ) for one of our client Following are Terms & Conditions for the role: Job Location : Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (40 minutes from the city center) Contract Duration : Annual Contract Renewable (Project Duration is 2 to 3 years) Work Schedule: 6 days a week, 10 hours a day, Saturday to Thursday Employment Status: Single Visa : Provided by MPH Medical Coverage : Provided by MPH Mob/Demob Tickets : Provided by MPH Contract: Under MPH Mandatory Requirements : Oil and Gas / Power Industry Experience Chartered Quantity Surveyor Job Description : Report to Project Purchasing Manager Monitors and ensures the compliance with all contractual terms by Subcontractors performing works on construction site. Provides a service to the project on all matters concerning the commercial, legal and financial aspects of Subcontracts, including implementing Subcontract strategy; Assists in weekly progress meetings of Subcontractors and provides contractual support to discipline lead supervisor; Constructs detailed meeting minutes to accurately outline topics discussed, conclusions reached and action items; Follows up the action log on a daily basis; Provides contractual guidance to Project Team with the focus to maximize revenues, reduce expense and mitigate/transfer risk; Researches and prepares contractual correspondence and maintains records necessary to ensure the effective administration of all contractual matters; Regularly interacts with others internal departments (management, quantity surveying, construction, QA/QC, HSE, procurement, etc..), at all levels, with regard to the matter and issue resolution; Provides input on Subcontract status when required; Trace and report monthly contracts completion metrics and status of pending contracts; Assists in commercial negotiations pertaining to claims and disputes to achieve fair and beneficial closure to the Project; Full range of post contract administration duties including participation in monthly interim payments, back charges, documental requirements in order to ensure that contractual coverage and compliance is implemented; First stage of claims and counter claims management; provides advisory assistance on all aspects of contractual claims. Management and identification of claims as they evolve, managing timely resolution under the change provisions where possible, obtaining legal expertise as appropriate; Management of final accounts including preparation, submission and final settlements and closeout agreement with respective subcontractors; Ensures all bonds, insurances, guarantees and the like are delivered and maintained as required on project; Control and check list of all contractual documentation (bonds - including comments and assessment, insurances, guarantees, reports, dossiers, waivers, assignments, etc) on a monthly basis; Supporting the Site Manager in coordination, analysis and considerations regarding the management of Subcontracts and Subcontractors at site; Approval and processing of payment certificates, including verification of applications; Register and archive of interim payment certifications; Provides information on subcontracts to project management, project controls to support the reporting function of the projects;
