As an Airframe Design Engineer, you will be providing on-hand technical support relating to approved design advice to both our core and export customers. You will be answering queries with specialist knowledge of the aircraft systems, either by generating approved data, or by using approved data. Job Description: Supporting line managers in ensuring that the contracted Key Performance Measures for Technical Queries is achieved Liaising with query originator to fully understand query and populate/update (Teamcenter) accordingly Providing initial analysis of queries to determine and agree acceptance, prioritisation and best route to providing an answer. Confirming acceptance/rejection of queries, liaising with appropriate stakeholders, providing justification as appropriate. Confirming and agreeing prioritisation of queries, liaising with appropriate stakeholders Ensuring all queries, responses, status prioritisation is recorded appropriately Ensuring query responses have received all relevant validation signatures. Providing input to the status reporting process via the Teamcentre and CWP Engineer. Generate sound on aircraft solutions to maintenance and in-service related issues. Providing design advice in accordance with best practices and design specifications, to include repairs. Key Experience: HND/Degree or equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant discipline Proficient with MS packages TeamCenter experience would be advantageous General Knowledge in the majority of the following areas: Aircraft Systems, Aircraft Safety, Build Line Support (BLS), Materials, Aerodynamics, MAOS/DAOS, Stressing, Detail Manufacture, Sub-assemblies, Major Units, System Installations, Final Assembly, Aircraft Test, Flight Line, and knowledge of On-Base Operations. Knowledge of the core and export Customers, their representatives and the forums which exist to interface on Technical and Quality issues is desirable. Typically, the Airframe Design Engineer requires knowledge and experience of the majority of the following: structural design- composites and metallics, systems design, electrical design, build-line and in-service liaison, mechanism design, standard parts, process and procedure, computer aided engineering, configuration management. Additionally, the Airframe Design Engineer should have knowledge of the following areas; Engineering Lifecycle, Safety and Environmental policies, Engineering Governance.
