QA ENGINEER This position is a unique opportunity to held as client representative, project QA auditing, Vendor Technical Supporting, Inspector & Expeditor, Project engineer, and highly proactive personalities with relevant experience that provides the ability undertaken a wide range of roles within the project. Capable and able to handle with project execution activities and coordination with all department and working levels from vendors to client. Your main duties will be: Liaise with Engineering groups, PMT, Purchasing, Inspection and customer to ensure customer spec requirements are integrated into the Engineering and Vendor data documents of supplied products. Review Requests for Quotations, Technical Bid Evaluations and Purchase Requisitions/Subcontracts to ensure project specific requirements are identified. Review of Contract scope of work and list down Project deliverable list. Prepare Quality Plan and other QA relevant deliverables for the project scope. Directly responsible for the audit schedule, auditing process and overall assessment of the Management System effectiveness. This role will involve determining compliance of product quality to the requirements of the contract and performance quality measurement to determine process efficiency and effectiveness. This will involve trend analysis, identifying deficiencies and determining area for improvement Assist Project Quality Manager in project Set-up and implementation of Quality Assurance requirement as per internal procedures/guidelines, customer specification, relevant code/standard and project quality plan. Administrate the overall project specific audit schedule and Non-Conformance / Corrective Action register status reporting. Conduct internal project audits, vendor / supplier assessment and surveillance audits in accordance with the approved project audit schedule. Prepare weekly / monthly Quality reports to customer / internal management on area of responsibility. Provide Project KPI (Key Performance Indicator) and Project Ql (Quality Index) information for Area monthly reports. Develop the Area Audit schedule, assign and conduct audits to determine compliance to management system. Follows up on audit findings to ensure proper close out and correction. Ensure that all audits are value added to ensure proper assessment and objective evidence of compliance is pursued. Identify non-conformity for project/process and act for appropriate rectification and prevention. Conduct tool box talks to promote product quality as and when needed. Ensure completeness and correctness of vendor/supplier deliverables such as Quality Plan. ITPs, weld procedures, heat treatment, and painting procedures against project specific requirements. Conduct vendor/supplier readiness reviews, KOM (kick off meeting), PIMs (Pre-Inspection meeting), review / assessment of vendor/supplier inspectors performance. Verify Vendor / Sub Contractor facilities to ensure that they can meet the project requirement. Ensure that activities are carried out smoothly and efficiently at all stages of operations Administer the vendor Inspection process through the assigned coordinator. Supervise and assist vendor inspection coordinators and vendor Inspectors on inspection requirements. Review and provide recommendations on vendor/suppler concessions, technical queries and coordinate with package managers and package engineers on Quality related queries. Review Field Inspection Reports (FIRs) and coordinate with the Package Team and customer for resolution of vendor / supplier TQs, NCRs and any technical issues. Establish effective preventive measures and corrective action to ensure that deficiencies do not re-occur. This process will involve measurement to determine trends and suitable means of correction. Prepare and compile data from audits, identify non-quality trends and advise Quality Manager / Management / Supervision for resolution. Perform audits of sub-contractors, vendors and suppliers to establish Approved Vendors List. Assure through proper utilization of auditor resources and audit verification the effective execution of the QA system. Liaise with the Certifying Authority on documents specified to seek verification, assessment and appraisal of their conformity and fitness to the codes and regulations. Prepare Quality related lessons-learned through project Close-out Report to ensure preventive measures are deployed. Conduct preventive action analysis to determine root cause and the necessary measure to avoid re-occurrence. Exercise proactive approach in prevention of a problem with proper communication well in advance with all departments. Conduct internal project audits, vendor / supplier assessment and surveillance audits in accordance with the approved project audit schedule. Ideally, you should have Bachelor Degree in Engineering. Minimum 16 years experience in the in oil & gas / petrochemical industry. Various project construction & QA auditing experiences such as topside design, fabrication and construction, Onshore & Offshore field construction, installation, platform construction, and installation, and testing, piping welding, coating and installation, rotating and static fabrication and installation. Also, involves in shop fabrication, expediting and Inspection, coordination and control of process piping shop fabrication and installation, pressure vessel fabrication and testing, valves manufacturing and testing, module skid and structural. You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, an advance level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office. You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal English.
