Reports to Project Manager. Review EPC contractor documents related to compressors, turbines, pumps and associated motor drivers to ensure compliance with job specifications: Equipment data sheets. Purchase specifications. Purchase Orders. Engineering studies. Inspection and test plans. Approve equipment EPC purchase recommendations by ensuring proposed equipment fully complies with specifications and experience requirements. Meet with recommended vendors prior to award to ensure vendor fully understands the specification and the scope of supply. Check experience qualifications for major equipment as defined in specifications. Verify performance data history for critical equipment to ensure specifications are complied with. Review PID drawings for safe and operable equipment features. Participate in HAZOP and other overall reviews as required. Review EPC inspection activities for machinery. Witness and monitor equipment testing at vendor shops. Review and develop EPC field installation plans and procedures. Review and develop, as required, Machinery related Pre-Mechanical Completion, Commissioning and Start-Up plans and procedures. Control Management of Change within his discipline and make recommendations to Engineering management concerning the technical necessity of any changes. Participate with EPC contractor in resolution of equipment shop or testing problems to ensure resolution complies with specifications. Provide input in his discipline to Risk Management activities as appropriate. Desired Candidate Profile Minimum of fifteen (15) years broad experience in all project phases i.e. engineering, procurement and construction, and rotating equipment with at least five (5) years specific involvement in major process facilities. Worldwide experience with contractors and vendors, in particular those involved in the construction of onshore facilities. Experience with multinational workforce in the Middle East would be an asset. Experience with machinery (such as screw axial compressors) in cryogenic and liquefaction application (i.e. in this case Helium extraction and liquefaction), is preferred. Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good supervisory skills.
