(487) Petroleum Engineer (Completion Practice)
ABOUT CLIENT: A senior role with a major producer of oil and gas from the offshore areas of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi where the incumbent will conduct necessary audit, review well completion, workovers Drilling and other related Petroleum Engineering Operations Programs reports in accordance with company objectives and standards. JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE: 1. Coordinates with other Departments / Sections WVA (Well Valve Assurance) documents specifying to Drilling Division the Well Completion, Work over, Drilling, Well Integrity, Design of new wells and Testing requirements in accordance with company and well objectives. 2. Recommends New Methods / Techniques to Drilling Division in order to carry out on Drilling Operations and Work over Wells with the objectives to reduce cost and improve performance. 3. Monitors daily Drilling Activities and Work over Operations as reported by drilling division. Includes identifying Sub Standard performance or faculty implementation and recommending corrective measures to ensure meeting of objectives and the cost effective realization of well program. 4. Provides Technical support to Drilling division for smooth running & solving problems in Drilling Operations. Coordinates communication between Drilling Division with other divisions for Smooth operations, Fulfillment of FDD, Production, Well Integrity & PED requirement. 5. Participates in the Drilling & Barge Bar Chart on monthly basis. Recommends the completion well testing requirements. Plans logging requirements in co-ordination with well integrity, DD & PE logging. Evaluates and provides best solution fit for problematic wells in short & long terms. 6. Reviews Well Integrity Certificates and endorses information for the TSD and field division. Designs post rig operations well testing and simulation programs for oil/gas/water wells. Desired Candidate Profile QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1. Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering Discipline. 2. Min. 8 years relevant experience of Petroleum Engineering Operations. 3.Good Knowledge of Computer Operation.
