Job Description Our client is a leading Western International Engineering & Construction Contractor with various programmes located throughout the Middle East and national offices in London and Worldwide. PMR has provided services to our client for over 25 years. We are currently recruiting a team of Safety Officers for projects in Qatar & Saudi Arabia. ROADS PROJECT - QATAR - the project involves the design and construction of new freeway & roads including interchanges, crossroads, overpass, underpass structures, retaining walls, pedestrian and bicycle paths, traffic signs, ITS, landscape and hardscape, ramps, pipe culverts, street lighting & related infrastructure. Project duration 36 months. BUILDING CONSTRUCTION %u2013 SAUDI ARABIA %u2013 the project is located in Riyadh, and involves the construction of a Residential Complex - which includes the construction of villas and apartments, community and commercial facilities, recreation centres, labour accommodation, Mosques, including all infrastructure works and landscaping. Qualifications and Experience: Applicants should preferably hold a Bachelor%u2019s degree in Environmental Health and have completed a series of construction health and safety associated courses and hold the appropriate professional qualifications (i.e. NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO14001 certified etc). Ten (10) years minimum experience in the construction health and safety trade and site experience in the construction of a major Roads/Highway/Interchanges, building construction & infrastructure projects. Candidates must be able to assist in preparing and implementing the project%u2019s health and safety plan by developing policies and procedures for the protection of workers, property, equipment and the environment. They should be able to provide safety education among the employees in the form of continues training, information, resources, material and safe practice. Ability to foresee and identify hazards and to assess what is needed to correct or eliminate them, is vital. Computer literacy, good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, along with excellent command of the English language are essential.
