ABOUT CLIENT: A key position with a major U.A.E. based National Oil Company established to develop and operate one of the largest oil fields in the world, where the job holder will be accountable to provide expert advice on all HSE related matters & support company operations & projects by ensuring the effective implementation of the company’s HSEMS. JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE: 1. Provides operations HSE expertise advisory support to line management on HSEMS implementation including contractor’s management, performance management, incident management & operations management of change. 2. Uses specialist knowledge part of the HSE operations pool of excellence supporting the company’s technical authority for all occupational safety standard & procedures. 3. Provides required expertise to support compliance assurance through the audit function. 4. Ensures awareness & verify compliance with the company’s codes of practices. 5. Develops HSE pre-qualification standards for contractors & suppliers & provide advisory support in the implementation. 6. Reviews & manages the various dispensation requests for all the operational & project requirements. Develops & maintains the necessary control mechanism in line with the HSEMS through the dispensation procedure. Desired Candidate Profile QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1. B.Sc. in Mechanical / Chemical / safety engineering or equivalent. 2. Safety related degree / diploma (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.) would be an added advantage. 3. 10 years experience in the oil & gas industry, of which 5 years in offshore.
