(1058) Instruments Commissioning Technician
1. Support the Site(s) Instruments Commissioning Supervisors and Engineer(s) - as directed, at any/all of the assigned facility areas for all instrumentation, controls, automation (DCS) and related sub-systems activities including serial and network communications/PLC based systems- including testing and managing all process controls and safety shutdown systems associated with production equipment. Activities include, but are not limited to, conduct process systems checks, dry and wet commissioning, start-up, testing and O&M custody transition and training activities, and on other areas/tasks/duties as directed by the Instruments Supervisors and Instruments Commissioning Engineers. 2. Help develop project instrumentation commissioning plans from installation, check out, troubleshooting, operation, and transition to O&M custody and provide daily activities reports to the instruments commissioning engineer. 3. Perform stepwise commissioning tasks according to the overall plan and procedure, as directed by the Instruments Supervisors and Instruments Commissioning Engineers; Work with other area(s) instrumentation commissioning team members including F&G Team, and/or subcontractors to achieve schedule milestones; Liaise with Vendors to achieve completions, commissioning, start-up, and custody transition to O&M and training of client team. 4. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance as directed by supervision and according to CMMS schedules and work permit/priorities (re: Maintenance Instrument Technicians). Desired Candidate Profile • Five (5) + years of experience in oil and gas industry in similar size/type facility. • Several years similar commissioning experience in EPFs and IPFs (large turnkey projects would be an advantage) in instruments discipline positions and/or instrument maintenance applications.
