(1199) Training Co-ordinator - Engineering

Responsibilities • Provide direct supervision and support to the Engineering, English and Science Instructional teams • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient utilisation of staff and resources • Co-ordinate and plan the cost effective delivery and assessment of programmes • Liaise with external employment agencies, supervise third party instructors/assessors • Ensure all training equipment is available for use in co-ordination with the Facilities Manager • Ensure staff have the resources available to create stimulating learning environments • Ensure the implementation of company’s Health and Safety Policy • Ensure that high safety and housekeeping standards are maintained within the training centre • Promote a culture of continuous improvement • Comply with all Quality Management System procedures • Ensure unit development activity is performed within budget and business goals • Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to optimise business growth • Manage the delivery and assessment of qualifications to learners ensuring outcomes and agreed targets are met • Maintain robust planning mechanisms that support the delivery, monitoring, planning and information systems for learners. • Monitor the effectiveness of staff and associated support mechanisms used to deliver the curriculum. • Create a learning environment that meets the needs of all learners • Support Instructional staff as required to modify / review curriculum resources to ensure that they remain current and relevant • Liaise with existing/new suppliers to ensure cost effective provision of services to the business • Stimulate motivation by creating a focused team approach; understanding both needs and motives • Planning for continuous improvement by prioritising work activities in a logical sequence • Monitor staff performance and where necessary support staff discipline procedures • Participate in curriculum and assessment standardisation meetings • Ensure staff reviews are undertaken and outcomes managed to meet the needs of the organisation • Ensure that staff remain current with regard to their discipline specific knowledge • Support the staff recruitment processes to meet the business objectives. • Ensure all equipment required for training activities is readily available, operational and complies with current legislation with regard to inspection and certification • Participate in the delivery and assessment of the curriculum to learners • Be prepared to travel given appropriate notice to perform Consultancy Services on Client premises
