Job Purpose & Scope: Lead & participate in the duties of the fire fighting & Island rescue team. Inspect, test and maintain fire & safety mobile detection & protection systems/ equipment and life saving appliances. Accountabilities: Participate in / lead a team engaged in rescue / fire fighting/ emergency activities with the proper use of fire, safety and life saving equipment / systems. Overview, monitor and enable preventive maintenance & inspection in the various types of portable gas detection appliances, fie, safety and fire saving equipments which includes complete-checks , servicing , repairing and supervising contracted assistants while undertaking maintenance work. control periodical inspection on fixed extinguishing systems (Novec , CO2, sprinkles , water , foam and dry powder), inspect , test and maintain fire hoses, hydrants, monitors , isolation valves and couplings. Desired Candidate Profile Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 2 yrs specialized diploma. Extensive fire fighting and fire preventive training and practice with associated certification equivalent to 2 yrs full diploma. Dynamic risk management is a mandatory requisite. 10 yrs experience as a Fire & Safety Officer with wide background with fire prevention / fire fighting and emergency response. A chemistry bachelor degree holder or equivalent in an engineering. 7 yrs experience in fire fighting & fire prevention in Petrochemical industry. Valid UAE driving license , both heavy & light.
