Job Description The Role: We are looking for an experienced Materials and Transport Specialist to join a leading global company, working on one of Australias most prominent natural gas projects The purpose of this role will be to manage the project materials control activity for upstream ventures in accordance with the companies procedures, at storage facilities in the Brisbane area. This position will report directly to the materials transport lead, under the leadership of the supply chain manager. To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience working in a lead role on a large scale project, specifically in the materials control space. Detailed project experience in logistics management and dealing with stake holders/key decision makers both internal and external is an essential requirement. Key Accountabilities will include but not be limited to: o Interpret and communicate the scope of works for project packages with regard to internal/external clients o Data mining and analytical reporting of freight tends and budget spend o Liaise and negotiate with internal and external clients to ensure best for the business results o Interpret and communicate the scope of works for multi size freight packages with regard to internal/external clients o Provide feedback to the Manager about operations o Other tasks which your Manager may instruct you to undertake from time to time **Please note only candidates with valid Australian work rights will be considered for this vacancy, due to the position being offered on a contract basis** Essential Skills / Qualifications: o Experience in logistic management specific to large scale construction o Demonstrated experience in dealing with internal and external resources o Superior communication skills to manage relationships, including influencing and negotiating for best for the business results o A high awareness for safety o IT, advanced Microsoft excel & reporting capabilities
