Qualifications/Experience & Knowledge Graduate in Mechanical/Civil/Instrumentation Engineering. Over 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas sector out of which at least 5 years as Operations Supervisor in a Power or Gas Plant. Expert knowledge of Instruments and Equipment’s with specific specialization in Gas Plants. Candidates with Plant Commissioning Experience will have added advantage. Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills, both in English and Arabic. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Overall responsibility and accountability of Plant Operations of the Gathering Centre called the New GC 16. New GC-16 is one of the most important Strategic Project of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) with a capacity to produce 100,000 Barrels of Oil per day. It is the largest Contractor owned facility ever set up in Kuwait and is one of the biggest across the entire Middle East region. The Operations Superintendent will have the overall responsibility and accountability of operations of this plant and shall include the following: Ensure that the Plant consistently meets the specified targets with regard to volume and Quality of output. Daily interaction with representatives of KOC and ensure that all performance parameters set by them are achieved on an ongoing basis. Ensure that all Quality and Safety issues raised by the clients are addressed immediately. Along with the Company’s HSE Manager, lay down HSE norms and guidelines as applicable under the Kuwait Laws governing such activities. Ensure updated SOPs covering each and every aspect of the Plant Operations are in place at all times. Control, through documented policies and procedures, the activities of Vendors, Sub Contractors and all external agencies and individuals involved with the operation of the Plant. Actively coordinate with the Planning Managers on the budgeted numbers as regards output and profitability of the Plant. Responsible for providing all financial inputs and data to complete the process of compiling the Financial Budgets, budget plans and the budgeting process for the project within specified time frames Ensure that controls and reporting systems, as directed by the President are executed to ensure that project and other operating expenses are within the budgeted numbers.
