Project Manger Execution- I&E Are you a Project Manager and interested in joining the team of our client? Our client is a major Oil and Gas company which is looking for a driven, independent and enthusiastic Project Manager in a refinery setting. The role will be located in Nanticoke, Ontario Responsibilities: The candidate will be expected to manage projects with heavy electrical and instrumentation/controls content. Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation/controls facilities is required. The position is accountable for project execution by managing execution in engineering, procurement and construction through engaging external contractors or internal departments. Position is responsible for: Taking full ownership of assigned projects Aid in project development as required Planning and managing the execution strategy for assigned projects Developing work schedules to ensure cost, quality and execution timing is met Developing contract execution strategies for the timely and cost efficient construction of facilities Timely resolution of engineering or construction issues Complete / coordinate the commissioning and hand off of new facilities to refinery operations Comply with the site Health and Safety rules Actively search for opportunities to improve procedures/processes through the Continuous Improvement process Responsible for the safe execution of projects through the application of Loss Prevention System (LPS) tools Qualifications: Registered Registration as a Professional Engineer (Electrical or Instrumentation/Controls) with a minimum of 5 years EPC and petrochemical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Multi-discipline experience: Knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work within the different engineering disciplines (process, civil/structural, , mechanical, piping instrumentation/controls, electrical) Proficiency in a variety of standard project management methods and techniques Working knowledge of planning and project controls methods General understanding of industry and regulatory standards Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written Strong organizational, leadership and teamwork skills Skills Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong team player & ability to handle multi-tasks at the same time Ability to meet assignment schedule & deliver quality products under pressure Self-motivated & goal-oriented Sound reasoning ability, high level of self-initiative, strong desire to acquire new knowledge and skills Proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel,etc)
