Purpose To manage, control and deliver a nominated package of work, across multiple projects, simultaneously to the satisfaction of both the Project Teams and Client from conception to completion.. Responsibilities: ? To be able to monitor progress against the Project programme on a regular basis & assist with short-term & look ahead programs ? To obtain QA documentation & check for compliance against the Project procedures, specification & design. ? Ensure that all project safety requirements are met and adhered to & instigate improvements ? To be the point of contact for subcontractor site management and be involved with the subcontractor selection, procurement and design process ? To keep accurate records, daily diaries, progress schedules of sub contractor activities ? Ensure site instructions are issued to maintain progress of the works & co-ordinated with the Commercial dept ? To be able to conclude a project to the clients satisfaction including snagging, commissioning, validation and room readiness ? Work closely with the Logistics Manager to co-ordinate site activities ? Assist in establishment of site welfare, ensure services are connected and the site area is kept clean and tidy ? Monitor & record resource levels on a daily / weekly basis & relate to performance and outputs ? Manage & co-ordinate labour working directly ? To ensure that company procedures are complied with and that relevant information is communicated with the project staff ? To develop good relationships with the relevant Process Provider and maximise efficiency in delivery. ? To develop robust sub-contracts, utilising in house resource from all departments ? To develop detailed package commissioning plans ? To assist and guide the dedicated Project Management Team as required ? To develop and maintain Sector wide technical documents ? To assist and guide the dedicated Planning Manager ? To assist and guide the dedicated Design and Discipline Engineers ? Lead by example setting the required standards of behaviour and conduct for the project ? Communicate the project strategy with the project team ensuring the objectives are understood and met ? Liaise and assist with the Work Winning Team during the tender/negotiation period ? To promote and develop a system of continuous improvement for the nominated Work Package ? To liaise with the other Discipline Package Managers in order to manage technical, programme and commissioning interfaces Essential ? Project Management experience ideally qualified to a recognised methodology ? Use all recording tools and data to keep an accurate position of the project programme ? All information required for client and other meetings to be available 48 hrs before a meeting ? Remain up to date with current health and safety legislation ? It is expected that the candidate will be computer literate in all the Microsoft Office suites ? Be able to demonstrate that they have worked in a similar capacity on successful projects of a similar size and complexity ? CSCS Registration ? Problem solving skills ? Excellent communication skills able to deal with colleagues and external contacts / visitors and Clients in a confident and professional manner ? Excellent working knowledge of MS Office software suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Highly Desirable (but not essential) ? Construction qualifications (e.g. HND) ? Recognised Project Management qualification ? Proven construction experience across a wide range of projects ? Process Engineering (IChemE or similar) background ? First Aid / H & S qualification
