Responsibilities /Key Objectives: Liaise with the different business unit teams (Exploration, Well Engineering, Operations and all Functions) to review and plan demand Set up and agree SCM strategies, Operating Models and operational plans to meet Development project requirements Oversee and manage the development and deployment of contract strategies Oversee the execution of Sourcing activities through to contract award, ensuring focus on value, compliance and National Content delivery Support the establishment of contract management and supplier performance management, ensuring sustainable processes and ownership is delivered through Contract Holders Liaise with Group Logistics Manager and local Operations teams to plan, establish and support the operation of Materials and Logistics Operations (including the design of operational solutions for Freight Forwarding, Customs Clearance, Materials Management/Yard Services, Aviation and Passenger Transport) Liaise with Group Category Managers to align Group Sourcing Strategies with local demand planning to ensure category plans are leveraged Liaise with the Group C&P Manager to ensure repeatable use of C&P processes, tools, templates and good practice contracts in the Development Team Manage the SCM department on a daily basis, plan & encourage skills development and career progression of personnel, developing and managing appropriate succession plans Provide a centre for market intelligence, develop and grow Local Content Sourcing opportunities and support local Supplier Development initiatives Support the business with effective Requisition to Pay advice from the C&P Team, ensuring SCM Systems and supporting processes are applied effectively (including SAP) Operate C&P processes and procedures in line with the Group standard Ensure C&P disciplines for Contract Strategies, Contract Review Boards (CRB), Recommendations to Award (RTA) are followed by SCM and the business departments Participate in the Development Leadership Team Participate in Group SCM Leadership activities as requested Manage SCM EHS performance, ensuring that all SCM operational activities in road and air transport for Freight and Passengers are safe and compliant Lead the implementation of Group initiatives including SCM Process, Systems, Procedures and Organisation initiatives, including support to the implementation of SAP Financial Responsibility: Subject to necessary approvals being in place pursuant to the Delegation of Authority (DOA), commitment authority to award purchase orders and contracts for goods, works and services. Subject to compliance with C&P Procedures, authority to endorse recommendations to award purchase orders and contracts for goods, works and services (as defined by the DOA).
