Job Description On behalf of our client, Brunel are actively recruiting for an experienced Lead Project Electrical Engineer to join their very busy site team in Darwin. The main objective of the role will be to review and acceptance of the design developed by engineering contractor / sub-contractor / supplier for electrical system for onshore LNG facility, review and comment on supplier documentation in a timely manner and supervision of the site electrical engineering discipline. Other duties will include: Ensure Onshore LNG Facilities electrical system design minimises the impact on the environment in line with project requirements; Deliver a design that meets the requirements of the project in regards to safety, reliability, operability and maintainability throughout its plant service life; Support/advise the project team and Contractors on electrical system design, construction, hook-up and commissioning of the onshore LNG Plant to meet project requirements; Assist in identifying project risks and implement agreed mitigation measures as required; Direct/advise the EPC Contractor on all aspects of design, construction, installation and hookup and commissioning of electrical generation and distribution system for Onshore LNG Facilities to meet project requirements; Ensure project deliverables and activities associated with the Onshore LNG facilities electrical design are achieved in accordance with project milestone dates, budget and technical requirements; Support/advise the project team and the EPC Contractor on resolution of engineering queries and requests for deviation; Ensure that project specifications are complied with and deviations are substantiated in line with project procedures. Job Requirements To be considered for this role you will hold at least an Electrical engineering degree qualification and have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following: Engineering experience in onshore LNG projects; Engineering experience in electrical system installation, commissioning and start-up; Experience in combined cycle power generation system will be preferable; Detailed understanding and knowledge of large electrical generation and distribution system; Familiarity with the static and dynamic analysis such as protection coordination, harmonic / stability analysis, required for large size electrical distribution system design; Understanding of the design aspects of other engineering disciplines including process, mechanical, instrumentation, HVAC, telecom etc; High awareness of safe working practices associated with design, construction, pre-commissioning, installation and offshore hook-up and commissioning.
