Job Description Responsible for the safe, reliable and environmentally sound maintenance of facilities during the construction period; Ensure the maintenance contractors pro-actively utilize a maintenance management system and processes to schedule, plan and execute activities to ensure reliable, safe, efficient and cost effective facility and equipment performances; Responsible for ensuring that all project procedures are relevant and are competently applied with by all associated personnel; Enforces a work request culture for maintenance activities to promote a planned approach to maintenance and is the site champion of the 7-day maintenance planning processes to control priority, volume and risk of all maintenance work; Regularly audits the maintenance performance of plant and equipment to ensure that these facilities are performing to design requirements. Schedule, plan, and execute maintenance shutdowns to ensure minimum impact to construction activities; Responsible for overseeing those maintenance activities that achieves and maintains world class uptime performance of all critical production process equipment and facilities; Actively facilitates the identification of appropriate maintenance and reliability opportunities to enhance equipment efficiency in consultation with the Operations Superintendent. Procedural Compliance; Responsible for ensuring that Maintenance Teams and related facilities and equipment are in compliance with all DoIR, DoCEP, ESD, DOE and CALM statutory requirements and conditions; Ensures that all company and contractor personnel under his direction are in compliance to all Chevron Safety and Environmental Management systems, manuals and processes. This includes but is not limited to the OEMS, Permit to work System, Site Safety Cases, and the Management of Change process; Uses and champions the use of the hierarchy of control principles during implementation of duties that relate to risk assessment and permit to work management. Budget and Contract Management; Is responsible for ensuring that these contracts are managed within limits and in order of established by the Project Team; Works with his team to ensure that all applicable OE processes are followed and opportunities are explored to achieve Operational Excellence in the management of all maintenance camp and utility facilities during the construction phase; Develops and maintains a program in place to regularly audit OE maintenance performance.
