We are urgently looking to fill the role of a Technical Assistance Specialist for our client in Mozambique Required Education Superior Level in Mining Engineer with Masters or PHD Additional Training: Drilling and Dismantling Reports to: Coal Operations, Rock Drilling and Dismantling Manager Nº Reporters: 2 Know How: Training and Experience: Master and / or PHD with minimum of 10 years of experience in its area of expertise. with more than 20 years of experience in its area of activity. Leadership: Lead complex projects, involving executives with strategic impacts. Represents THE COMPANY with persons and / or entities external to the company. Problem Solving: Receives specific goals. What to do is defined in a comprehensive way and how to do it is established by the occupant. Diagnoses and develops differentiated solutions. Autonomy: Subject to functional policies and comprehensive procedures. Management follow Job Description: Specialist in drilling and dismantling Responsibilities and Specific Challenges of the Job: Manage the drilling and blasting areas and to ensure compliance to THE COMPANY HSE standards and procedures Assist with hazard identification in the work place Implement strategies to achieve availability levels and to ensure the drills and explosives delivery vehicles are managed effectively to achieve budget utilization rates Implement a record keeping system of drilling consumables Assist the Manager with the achievement of production and other targets across the operations; Assist the Blasting team with quality control Start a training program for drill operators and explosive truck operators Manage the execution of the daily production plans must speak English fluently and Basic Portuguese. Required Competencies: The candidate must have proven experience in Planning and Drilling. Must be able to elaborate the “Fire Plan” and supervise. Must have Knowledge of drilling equipment (Perfuratrize PV251) Needs to have Open Pit or Opencast Mine experience.
