To facilitate and assist the Moulding Department to provide accurate high quality moulded parts to engineering drawings. Responsibilities The following describes the main duties of the Production Moulding Technician; however there will be times when other special duties may be required to be undertaken. Sets machine controls, regulating moulding temperature, volume of materials used, moulding pressure and time, according to moulding procedures. Mould, De - Flash, inspect and pack parts to meet customer requirements. Able to detect defective parts/insect parts for surface defects and flaws. Maintain cleanliness of general work area. Removes finished product from dies, using correct hand tools. Operate Compression or injection machines. Load Moulding Dies in and out of the machines. Remove Cured part from the mould without damage. Weigh Compounds. People Liaises closely with all members of the product line teams. Works with personnel across departments as necessary to complete the assigned task correctly and on time. Processes Manufacture all parts in accordance with instructions received from the Production Manager/Supervisor Comply with all departmental and Company procedures and work instructions. Complete accurately and legibly, the appropriate records of process and batch of moulded parts. Safe Working Practice at all times. Where necessary inform the Production Manager / Supervisor of any problems that arise. To make recommendations to the Production Manager / Supervisor regarding potential improvements to techniques, methods, processes/procedures and safety. To assist in the training of other staff, including trainees and apprentices when required. As part of the Product Line Team, responsible for delivering contracts on-time and within budget. QHSE Ensure machinery, equipment and tooling is kept clean and in good order at all times. Maintain and store, equipment and tooling in good, proper working order. Maintain high standards of housekeeping. Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety requirements of the Company and in Law in the execution of your duties and in attendance. Reports to Production Manager / Supervisor Minimum Qualification Education: CSE or GCSE in engineering would be an advantage. Experience: Experience of working within a manufacturing/engineering background would be an advantage. Complies with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures. Successfully completes required safety training (including but not limited to drugs and alcohol, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving, Commentary tasks on lifting and handling) • As part of the Product Line team, you are responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction and wherever possible exceeding client expectations
