Provides technical support to the operational teams during the commissioning and start-up of the Ammonia Plant. Job Description Monitors ammonia plant operations and provides advice to the operating team; Maintains safe working conditions within the units and promotes personnel safety; Visually checks the operation of the plant, at least once per shift; Audits the operators daily check-sheets, logs, and routines to ensure they are being completed properly; Aids in the preparations of equipment for maintenance and operational changes such as switching pumps; Will ensure that process control, environmental control, and quality control parameters are followed closely while proposing changes to resolve deviations; Thoroughly knowledgeable in all areas of unit operations to assist in training operators; Participate in daily safety meetings with crewmembers; Participates in shift turnover with other Lead Operators on status and receive instructions; Completes the production report and provides a written (Email) summary to the Superintendent and Operations Manager; Reviews all Service Orders and verifies in the field that the equipment is prepared for Maintenance; Audits Safety Work Permits and provides constructive feedback on how to improve them; Ensure that operating procedures are being utilized, accurate and up to date.
