Responsibilities include: providing planning support during the execute stage of the Pipeline work in Azerbaijan and Georgia. Oversight of Pipeline Contractor’s Planning group and systems; verification of contractor reported progress; and ensure contractor compliance with contractual planning, scheduling and reporting requirements as detailed in the Project Coordination Procedure (PCP). POSITION REPORTS TO The Planning Team Lead functionally and line reporting to the Pipeline Project Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES: Maintain awareness of and promote project HSE goals. Coordinate planning interface between construction contractors, planning and monitoring timely delivery of owner provided engineering, materials and 3rd party contractors including Hot Tap, Tunneling, HDD, and inspection. Ensure the following are developed, maintained, assessed, and communicated: Pipeline construction march chart updated and issued weekly Status of line pipe, bends, blocks valves and logistics. Status of ESIA deliverables including; permits, land acquisition. Input and maintain pipeline section of the Master Control Schedule Identify all major events/milestones and critical interfaces. 6 week look ahead schedule Weekly pipeline construction dashboard Monthly/weekly Report input to Central Planning Team. Level 1/critical path summary schedule for management presentations Perform “what if” and/or risked scheduling scenarios (as required) in order to recover schedule deviations along with assisting with development of alternative work sequences Provide experience-based estimates for best-case, most-likely, and worst-case activity durations as inputs to schedule risk analysis (SRA) activities Actively observe, assess, evaluate, and determine construction activities first-hand to ensure satisfactory execution progress in accordance with the project schedule Work with Project Construction Manager the PSM/PSL and Cost & Risk Engineers to develop consolidated Earned Value-Cost Charts and to feed 6-monthly Cost and Schedule Verification Reviews (CSVR) and associated SRA’s. Provide Project Planning services to ensure that the agreed schedule for the Pipeline is planned and monitored to enable timely deviations from the plan to be highlighted for Project Management action for possible corrective action. Liaison with other groups within the Performance Management Team (Cost, Estimating, etc.) to optimize the execution of the Projects and to drive for continuous improvement. Determine and track planning-related Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as part of Contractor performance management activities. Review and approve contractor planning and scheduling procedures, ensuring that they meet the requirements of BP and the contract Project Coordination Procedures Coach the contractor to close any gaps which have been identified against the contract Project Coordination Procedures ACADEMIC/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum: Higher National Certificate/ Higher National Diploma (HNC/ HND) 15 years planning and project control with at least one major pipeline construction project completed. Experience with Primavera P6 and other planning and scheduling Desired: Degree in Science, Engineering or similar discipline (e.g. Quantity Surveying) Membership or Chartered Status of a recognized professional body
