Lead Civil/Structural Engineer Start Date: March 2018 Location: Elkview, WV Duration: Long-term contract assignment Description: Candidate will be required to coordinate the Civil Structural portions of Petroleum and Chemical projects. Candidate is required to maintain an open dialogue with the Project Engineer (PE) and Project Manager (PM) and other Department Discipline Leads on an ongoing basis and communicate any problems related to project tasks and deliverables. Responsibilities include the following: • Provides overall supervision for the CSA portions of projects. Organizes work to comply with project requirements. • Prepares and updates the CSA-Design Basis. Becomes familiar with the project scope and all relevant client requirements. • Coordinates and communicates frequently with other departments. • Prepares material requisitions and technical input to subcontract packages. Analyzes and approves Bid Analysis associated with requisitions and subcontracts. • Evaluate changes to project plan and submit change notices as necessary. • Coordinates engineering work including checking of calculations; reviews engineering sketches. • Coordinates modeling and drafting work, including checking. • Checks drawings for conformity with design requirements. Coordinates PE stamping of drawings as required. • Ensures that drawing recheck is performed where applicable. • Reviews other disciplines and vendor print inter-squad drawings. Qualifications: • B.S. Civil Engineering • PE Licensure (preferred) • 5+ years in design and leading projects Skills: • STAAD.Pro analysis software • Familiarity with 3D design process • Experience in design using IBC, ACI 318, AISC Manual of Steel Construction, and ASCE-7 Other: • Able to perform field activities: Measurements, Climb stairs and ladders, carry field equipment
