Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Purpose of the Job To provide stable power supply to all power users within PDO, whilst ensuring the integrity of power generation, transmission facilities with special emphasis on control operation of generation and transmission using SCADA, DMACS, DCS, Speedtronic and any other remote controlling systems. To operate the 'cockpit' of the IOC Central Control Room to ensure flawless and uninterrupted power supply to all customers via an integrated controls system operation to meet PDO s objectives and production targets. This position interfaces with multiple frontline Production Operations, Maintenance Team . It also reacts and responds making required power supply adjustments when necessary, reporting any serious faults , taking appropriate remedial actions immediately, following procedures and standard emergency responses. Education & Experience Minimum of HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent studies in plant maintenance specifically in Electrical. At least 9 years relevant experience in Electrical Operations, Controls& Maintenance, Power Generation transmission & distribution. AEP (Authorize Electrical Person) as minimum electrical authorization. Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work as a team member and to clearly communicate approved actions. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including on-call shifts. Proven competence in general control and automation equipment Proven safety experience/training regarding sour oil and gas operations and maintenance. Familiar with PTW, confined space entry, lock open/lock close valves, operating integrity, H2S/SO2, personal protective equipment, etc Main Responsibilities Supports and delivers at own-level IOC's HSE aspects of production activity execution and compliance with directorate HSE plan Ensure implementation and adherence to requirements of HSE * Management System, tools and procedures Engage in active liasion with IOC coordinators and CoE staff for resolution of parameter or equipment abnormalities and process deviations immediately Simultaneously operate 'cockpit' facilities for multiple facilities running on multiple DCS plaforms (Distributed Control System) &SCADA system for routine operations, startup and shutdown operations to meet production targets align with new Yokogawa HMI technology Operate the 'cockpit' facilities in a safe and efficient manner, inline with agreed plant operating philosophies, within current Power Procedures and practices related to safety systems, fire and gas, process and Power utilities Develop and maintain Systems Operation Manuals, start-ups, purge and operating procedures Analyze information and use logic to address process related issues and problems Maintain and document applicable OI Registers Ensure and validate healthy safeguarding systems for minimum Power interruption Participates in and make inputs to Alarm Management process Monitor and analyse Power system grid operation performance to ensure it is effective and work out appropriate strategies and improvement plans for operational systems, processes and best practice. Support the IOC PSCs via its Power operations systems and controls to achieve productivity and performance targets Utilize a variety digital informational displays to understand operational performance variables. Optimum utilization of deployed technology and digitization solutions to support Operations excellence whilst managing complex Power system.
