(280) Fire Shift Supervisor
PURPOSE OF THE JOB Responds to and acts as Response Sector Leader in case of fire, hydrocarbons and toxic gas release, personnel rescue and fire loss control related situations within Pipelines and Terminal Department and in Mutual Aid Partners premises in accordance with the Facility Response Plan of P&TD. Responsible to directly supervise the activities of the assigned shift as well as to coordinate these with other sections whenever required to ensure effective and smooth execution of said activities; Responsible for the safe and effective operations, maintenance and ensuring operational integrity of fire fighting vehicles and equipment and systems assigned to Fire Section. Ensures competency level of Fire station personnel are within that required by the various emergency scenarios possible in P&TD. Provides highly responsible assistance as required by the Safety and Fire Engineer and HSE Engineer. Desired Candidate Profile Education: Completion of Secondary education (12 Years) followed by Higher Diploma in Fire Engineering/Fire Science. Work Experience: 7 years of increasingly responsible experience in the Fire Station including two years as a Lead Fireman. Must possess a valid UAE driver’s License. Skills: Strong Leadership especially under work pressure. Good knowledge of English Language. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable. Compliance with the Qualification required by NFPA 1021, Fire Officer Professional qualifications. Computer Literate
