(392) Construction Manager (E & I)

-capable of reviewing and checking engineering drawings, layouts, single line diagrams ,schematic diagrams, hazardous area classification drawings, data sheets, specifications, participating in constructability reviews and handling requisitioning of materials / equipment, vendors bid evaluations, inspection and witness testing of Electrical & Instrumentation equipment, preparation of subcontract packages, preparation of technical and commercial inputs for E&I works during tendering stage, etc. -capable of managing his discipline, co-ordinating and liaising with his peer engineers, construction engineers, subcontractors, vendors, client and third party representatives, handling of site queries , providing technical support at site, with sound experience in plant equipment and vendor packages, handling of quality assurance documentation, and implementing HSE plans and procedures, risk assessments, etc. -capable of supervising the E&I installation and pre-commissioning works covering power systems such as overhead lines, HV/LV transformers, HV/LV switchgears / MCCs , load dispatch center ( LDC ), substation control and monitoring system ( SCMS) , UPS systems, turbine / diesel generators, surface pump motors, electrical submersible pump motors, etc and instrumentation control systems such as distributed control systems (DCS), emergency shutdown systems (ESD), F & G systems, SCADA systems, PLC systems, RTU/MTU systems, telecommunication system comprising of PAGA equipment, PABX equipment , CCTV, radios, SDH & STM , fiber optic cable installation and testing , etc, cable laying, earthing, lighting and small power, testing of LV/HV cables, field Instruments such as emergency shutdown valves, control valves, safety relief valves, flow instruments, level instruments, pressure & differential pressure instruments, temperature instruments, etc with very good knowledge in handling material and preservation of electrical, instrumentation and telecom equipment at site. -capable of associating in technical bid evaluations, following-up on placement of orders and vendor document approval, monitoring vendor progress, obtaining waivers from client if required, coordinating and resolving engineering / vendor / client / TPA / Subcontractor queries, liaising with TPA for inspection / release of material, attending factory acceptance tests , expediting with vendors for delivery of material, preparing project method statements and procedures, issuing fabrication and “AFC” drawings to site, monitoring progress of work at site, preparing mobilization plans for vendors for installation and pre-commissioning at site, preparing job cards, workpacks and microschedules for the offshore works, monitoring the execution of additional works, documenting contractual variations and changes to scope, reviewing and compiling vendor as-built documentation / manuals, compiling final documentation for the project, as-built drawings, closeout reports, lessons learnt, etc. -capable of ensuring Quality and HSE requirements are adhered to during construction activities and project is completed within budget and schedule. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited University, with 15-20 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas Industry on major onshore / offshore projects, computer literate and proficient in MS office and MS Project.
