(498) Power Generation Instructor
Our client is seeking full applications from qualified Technical Instructors accross three centres; Baish, Juaymah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. The Technical Instructor will be teaching a one year programme of technical training in mechanical and electrical engineering. Students in the second year of the programme will study one of the 10 specializations listed below. [1] Power Plant Maintenance Technical Electric [2] Power Plant Maintenance Technical Mechanical [3] Power Plant Technician Instrumentation Measurement and Control [4] Transmission/Distribution Protection Relay Technician [5] Transmission Power Service Technicians (Substations) [6] Distribution Network Operator (Electrical Network Operation) [7] Cable Splicing (Jointing) [8] Power Plant Operation Combined Cycle [9] Electrical Power Cables (Jointing) [10] Overhead Lines (Construction & Maintenance) Assignments are for one year initially with renewable contracts upon mutual agreement, however, serious consideration will be given to candidates willing to commit to a two-year assignment. SALARY AND BENEFITS Annual salary: SAR 300,000.00 Local transportation allowance Accommodation provided Housing allowance at all other campuses One-time relocation allowance Annual flight provision prorated monthly Annual leave provision: 21 working days plus public holidays Private medical insurance Initial one-way economy class flight to Saudi Arabia upon mobilization APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Specializations 1 to 6: a tertiary qualification in Electrical Power Engineering or an equivalent relevant qualification Specialization 7: a tertiary qualification in Electrical Cableman craft or an equivalent relevant qualification Specialization 8: a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent relevant qualification Specialization 9: a tertiary qualification in Electrical Cableman craft or an equivalent relevant qualification Specialization 10: a tertiary qualification in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification Qualifications Minimum of 10 years experience in the maintenance of electrical equipment for either steam, gas or combine cycle turbine plants including the balance of plant equipment. A combination of work experience and similar experience in a teaching/training environment relevant to the specialisation may be considered. Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching/training power plant electrical maintenance. A combination of experience in this specialisation and other engineering disciplines may be considered. Technical Experience Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of generators and exciters. Experience in maintaining, calibrating and troubleshooting automatic voltage regulators. Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of high voltage motors, transformers, their associated switchgear (oil, vacuum and gas types) and isolated generator bus ducts. Experience in maintaining, and troubleshooting annunciator panels, PLC panels, paging systems and control system power supplies. Experience maintaining emergency diesel generators, their controls, fire protection systems and cathodic protection systems. Experience maintaining batteries, battery chargers, rectifiers, inverters and UPS. Experience maintaining motor operated valves. Able to read and interpret control and logic circuit diagrams in troubleshooting plant control systems. Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of low voltage AC/DC motors, starters and motor control centres.
