(499) Power Generation Field Service Technician
Responsibilities include: Scheduled maintenance and repairs, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of engines, generators, controls, switchgear, emissions controls, and auxiliary equipment. Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on all generating set systems, including: fuel delivery, ignition, lube oil, cooling, exhaust systems, turbo charging as well as engine internal components. Performing minor and major engine overhauls in the field Electrical troubleshooting and problem solving requires strong AC/DC power skills, ability to read and interpret schematics, troubleshoot and repair electrical contactors, motors, relays, contacts, generator components, and controls. A working knowledge of PLC control systems, relays, digital/analog inputs-outputs. Qualifications · Computer literate · Good oral, written, and inter-personal skills · Capable of learning, working independently, exhibiting common sense and good judgment, and fostering a safe working environment. · Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2-3 years work experience either in power generation service, industrial mechanical-electrical troubleshooting and repairs, or marine engineering. Reciprocating engine experience is a must. Technical school, related military technical, electrical/mechanical engineering degrees, or maritime engineering backgrounds preferred.
