We are looking for an electrical engineer, PE not required. Heavy plant experience (min 10 years exp) - mcc installations, ac drive /drive system installations, 480v power ,instrumentation, lighting, controls. This person does not need to have plc/dcs programming capability, just the ability to apply and install. · Working with company process, manufacturing and maintenance personnel: develop an acceptable scope for capital projects assigned to him. · Prepare a written project appropriations request that includes an estimate of funds required and a schedule of project timing based on developed scope. · Direct design staff in preparing necessary drawings, loops and other documentation for the successful project installation as well as procurement of equipment. · Interface with the construction crew during installation to insure correct and timely installation · Work with company process and manufacturing personnel to commission and start-up the installed project · Support company Safety Program through participation in: o Insuring that projects are reviewed during the design phase for safety o Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews at the completion of installation but prior to start-up of a project o Monthly department safety meetings o Actively participating in the company CBT (computer based training) safety program o Participating in the company Safety Observation Program o Completing the Safety Modules About Southern Design Services, Inc.: Honesty, Dependability, and Flexibility are the key ingredients to the success of any quality relationship.
