Our clients have various needs for experienced Solidworks Drafters, Designers and Design Engineers. Must be fluent with Solidworks. These are Direct Hire (perm) positions. Pay based on experience. Submit resume for immediate consideration. 1.) Responsible for designing and generating detailed drawings of components used in various product lines. 2.) Responsible for specifying and ordering any special purchase parts required for their designs. Coordinates with the project engineers to make sure all purchase parts have been ordered. 3.) Responsible for creating and maintaining bills of materials for assemblies, components and kits and verifying consistency if stored in multiple locations. 4.) Responsible for ensuring all component designs meet project specifications. 5.) Interfaces with fabrication and assembly personnel to answer any questions. 6.) Communicates with outside vendors to specify part requirements or answer any questions. 7.) Responsible for ensuring completeness and design consistency with their component designs. Advises the Engineering Manager of any issues that may impact the engineering schedule. 8.) Attends “Engineering Release Meeting” to answer any manufacturing, procurement or project management questions pertaining to component design or sourcing. 9.) Responsible for assisting the project engineers with the resolution of any assembly, and field issues with their projects. At times this may require on site visits to understand and evaluate solutions to these issues. 10.) Responsible for processing Work Order Changes and Parts Orders to resolve assembly or field issues. 11.) Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager. Requirements: Minimum of three years of experience as a Drafter, Designer engineer. Experience with mechanical and machinery is a plus. Associates Degree for Drafters and Designers, BS degree in Engineering for Design Engineers Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software Strong proficiency with SolidWorks Strong math skills with attention to detail a must Experience with an MRP business system is a plus
