(1040) Senior Supervisor Inspection Unit (Material & Vendor)
We have an opening for the below position with one of the leading Oil & Gas company in Saudi Arabia. Position: Senior Supervisor Inspection Unit (Material & Vendor) Job Location: Saudi Arabia Responsibilities Ensures that AIMD-QA/QC will attend warehouse receiving in a daily basis and conduct Incoming Material Inspections and Inventory Stock Specification Verification Inspections. Review and approve Regulated Vendors for purchasing Inspectable Commodity products based on the assigned Inspection Level. Update Vendor Qualifications on a periodic basis. Issues Inspection Test Plans for specific commodities and ensures the plans are implemented. Coordinate with vendors / vendor inspection agencies / buyer to ensure company receives only quality products. Ensure execution of all QA/QC activities pertaining to Material Procurements through approved vendors. QA/QC Inspections are performed on selected commodities only, these inspections are performed at vendor sites by the company. Develops Regulated Vendor Lists (RVL) and monitor their quality compliance. Performs periodic renewals of RVL approvals. Enforce strict compliance to industry codes and standards related to project or ASEM specifications supplemented by NACE requirements when specified. Review major QA/QC Failures Investigate for Root Cause in order to uplift Standard of Workmanship and quality of vendors and suppliers pertaining to mechanical, civil or electrical inspectable products. Review and consolidate engineering procedures and once approved, supervise the implementation of same procedures within Material & Vendor Inspection activities to prevent sub-standard materials and fabrications are slipped in with critical parts or equipment. Applicable to Mechanical, Civil & Electrical parts when defined as Inspectable. Implement cost saving activities as per Sections cost saving plan and manage the sectional operation cost with due diligence. Ensure assigned Sections engineering Tasks meet corporate safety and environmental policy and standards in order to minimize risk of industrial injuries and unwanted incidents Conduct performance reviews of subordinates and liaise with Human Resources to conduct staff development program and training needs to further enhance individual potential and contribution to the overall companys performance Keep the Manufacturing facilities in a safe and good condition with minimum sub-standard materials, fittings & products (Mechanical / Civil / Electrical) are installed in the operating plant. Carry-out any specific assigned tasks such as Positive Material Identification (PMI) on as-built Process Units. Education/Experience: Bachelor degree (4-year full-time course) in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering from a reputable university. At least 12 years of professional experience in operational refineries and/or petrochemical plants of which at least 5 years in technical supervisory positions in the field of Projects Quality Assurance & Quality Control, Weld Quality Management and Material & Vendor Inspections Specific Knowledge & Business Understanding Competence and experience in weld inspections, NDT Methods and interpretations, Effective use of applicable codes & standards. Ability to develop QA/QC procedures & Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) is required
