Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Primary Purpose of the Job 1. Involves in Project construction completion check and walkthrough, pre-commissioning, commissioning, PSSR, start-up activities, Site acceptance tests, and Performance tests as directed by Lead/Senior Commissioning Engineer and advice from respective discipline Engineer to achieve project scope and Operations Readiness objective. 2. Monitor Project Scope normal operations until one month after successful performance test as directed by Lead/Senior Commissioning Engineer and advice from respective discipline Engineer to achieve project scope and Operations Readiness objective. 3. Support Lead/Senior Commissioning Engineer for completing Operations Readiness Deliverables prior to OHC (Operations Handover Certificate) as applicable and required. 4. Support, coordinate and consult respective Discipline Engineer to ensure respective discipline technical and project scope are holistically met during Construction until normal operations. Principal Accountabilities 1. Involves in construction completion check and walkthrough, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, instrument loop checks, functional checks, purging, inerting, Hydro tests of valves and piping/pipeline, safety checks, Site acceptance tests, performance teste etc. as directed by Lead/Senior Commissioning Engineer and advice from respective discipline Engineer. 2. Support, coordinate and consult respective Discipline Engineer to ensure respective discipline technical and project scope are holistically met during Construction until normal operations. 3. Carry out punch listing walk through for Construction & Precommissioning System/Sub-System along with Lead/Senior Commissioning Engineer, VOR Field Operators, Project and Contractor Team. 4. Coordinate and collaborate with Asset Holders Operations and Maintenance team members (if any) who are assigned for "STARUP SUPPORT" activities as agreed in the ORP Section 3.3 starting with Commissioning activities until performance test. 5. Support and witnessing Commissioning activities for all (as applicable) project System/Sub-System such as System/Equipment SAT along with Lead/Senior Commissioning Engineer, VOR Field Operators, Project and Contractor Team. 6. Participate in PSSR Review and Walkthrough, which is to be led by Commissioning Team Leader. 7. Follow up in coordination with VOR Field Operators as directed by Lead/Senior Commissioning Engineer and advice from respective discipline Engineer, ensuring all Punch list "A' Category (Construction, Precommissioning, Commissioning and PSSR) are completed and closed prior to RFSU, Ready for Start-up certificate issuance.
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Primary Purpose of the Job The Commissioning Coordinator (SIMOPS) operates under the direction and authority of the Commissioning Team Leader and Operation Readiness Head to communicate all potential work tasks, to prevent conflicts in the form of unsafe conditions between all groups working in the facility. Principal Accountabilities The SimOps Engineer in the Readiness Operations department is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the Permit to Work (PTW) tasks and Job Safety Analysis (JSA), ensuring that all documentation is accurately completed, communicated to all relevant parties, and posted as required. This role involves maintaining comprehensive reports of permits and work tasks specific to different project areas. The SimOps Engineer also oversees contractor activities, assessing risks, conditions, and project priorities to ensure that work is executed safely and in compliance with project requirements. By managing these aspects effectively, the SimOps Engineer helps ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Decision Making Authority 1. Recognize and identify hazards and risk factors associated with SIMOPs operations. 2. Responsible for confirming that all aspects of the SIMOPs procedures and plans are fully implemented, and in compliance with corresponding Work Permit. 3. Work with the other project and site representatives (contractors and sub-contractors) to understand each job scope prior to commencing SIMOPs. 4. Communicate with all responsible personnel from the various project and site representatives (contractors and sub-contractors) to discuss the expected activities at the commencement of work at the beginning of each shift if applicable and at other times during the operations as conditions require and to resolve any conflicts due to SIMOPs. 5. Verify that all necessary permits, approvals, and prescribed precautions are in place prior to the commencement of work. 6. Participate in Risk Assessments linked to SIMOPs activities 7. Assist in the preparation of Common Safety Dossier prior to the start of the SIMOPs campaign. 8. Update SIMOPS decision Matrix 9. Play a key role in emergency situations that occur during SIMOPs activities and perform duties as dictated by SIMOPs Emergency Response Plan. 10. Perform a pre task review for proposed work in the form of site verification to ensure correct application of safe work practices and communication regarding potential conflicts. 11. Assist the Commissioning Team Leader in the scheduling of SIMOPs related activities.
