In this role, you will be responsible: Develops less complex engineering deliverables including philosophies, reports, specifications, calculations, data sheets, and technical requisitions. Performs conventional, less complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies or research investigations. Creates designs, drawings and specifications typically involving existing technology and applications. Under general supervision, evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Position is based in Oman for a long-term assignment.

Reviews and closely monitors project business practices to ensure project cost objectives are met. Must have thorough knowledge of project business practices, calculation methods/software, standards, and procedures. Accountable and responsible for all project invoices and cost reports. Analyze project costs and track expenditures to ensure compliance with budgets. Prepare periodic cost reports and perform cost variance analyses. Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures. Review and validate contractor and subcontractor invoices. Assist in the preparation of project bid proposals and contract negotiations. Provide financial data for project forecasting and performance evaluations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Lead and manage the execution of instrumentation projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and engineering standards. · Develop, review, and approve instrumentation specifications and design documents. · Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, and civil engineers to ensure project integration. · Perform site surveys and assessments to gather relevant data for project planning. · Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. · Manage and perform technical evaluations for procurement of instrumentation equipment and services. · Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure clarity and satisfaction regarding project deliverables. · Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle. · Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
