Plans, manages and develops the Safety, Security, Fire and Loss Prevention activities to ensure the safety and security operations, employees and property. Administers related activities, confers and coordinates with relevant Government agencies to ensure compliance with legal requirements. Develop and implement comprehensive incident prevention programs to eliminate or minimize the potential risks to personnel safety, damage to plant or the environment. Act as mentor for safety officers. Participates in the development of the annual Safety and Emergency Response Team departmental objectives, plans and operating budgets. Develop and provide technical and administrative direction on HSE issues, which will directly impact the company objectives, operations, and the achievement of its mission and values. Desired Candidate Profile Minimum Education: BS degree in a technical field or equivalent followed by industry training courses in safety, security and loss prevention. Experience and Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in industrial security, safety and firefighting preferably in the fertilizer/ mining, oil and gas, chemical industries or similar. At least 5 years should be in a safety management position Skills Management skills, budgeting, planning, negotiating and forecasting skills  Strong negotiating ability and effective communication skills.  Excellent relationship building skills (internal and external)  Strong work ethic and be able to adhere to company, policies, and standard business etiquette.  Establishment of strong network of suppliers and vendors  Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English required,  Self-starter with minimal supervision for routine activities.  Extensive computer skills in using Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) plus other software pertinent to the work performed would be advantageous.  Ability to work with diverse populations, and foster a cooperative team environment.  Bi-lingual or multi-lingual is a plus  International work experience in remote camp environment.
