We have identified a need for a Quantity Surveyor to support our PMC project that will monitor the EPC Contractor’s work activities to be based on Zirku Island, offshore in the UAE Principal responsibilities will include: Intimate knowledge of the EPC Contract where unit rates and provisional sum items require detailed tracking of quantities of materials. Independently validate EPC Contractor claimed progress for input to Site Controls Lead for invoice verification. Track the day to day activities of the EPC Contractor and the Work to ensure adequate Quantity Surveyor coverage at the Site. Maintain records of quantities moved/used/expended for items associated with unit rate, provisional sum and applicable change orders. Work with Site Controls Lead to supply required quantities needed for management cost reports Performs some Quality Inspection duties when required to cover for gaps in field coverage Reporting in to the Planning & Controls Lead you will need to work intimately with Construction Supervisors, Construction Leads, and Site Project Controls to provide required quantity information on the day to day EPC Contractor activities. You may occasionally work with the Site Quality Coordinator to cover Sites that may have inspection gaps Some independence on deciding what Sites to visit on a day to day basis to ensure adequate coverage will be required. This role will require frequent presence at Zirku Island work Sites in extremely hot, humid weather. Periodic climbing required. This positon will hold a 28/ 28 or 6/2 rotation MinimumRequirements: Degree qualified with a professional certification as a Quantity Surveyor Ten (10) years of experience on the site of major capital (>$200 M USD) oil & gas facility construction projects with five (5) years in an active role as a Quantity Surveyor. Project Controls experience a plus.
