(1463) Instrument Process Technician
Job Description a.) Receive verbal instruction from Senior Technician or Supervisor on malfunctioning instruments, together with sketches or wiring plan. Prepare and assemble tools, measuring equipment and material, and proceed to the location. b.) Locate faulty components, repair or replace spare parts, calibrate, clean reassemble, refit and conduct first hand tests on instruments and gauges using a variety of hand and pneumatic tools and testing equipment. Report to supervisor on completion of repair and assist in final testing as instructed. c.) Carry out preventive and routine maintenance schedules on all units as directed and in accordance with maintenance procedures. Select and use the correct tools and equipment for specific jobs, such as pneumatic and hand tools, measurement and testing equipment. d.) Advise supervisor of requirements for spare parts, materials or tools as needed. e.) Carry out other similar or related duties, such as observing Company Fire and Safety regulation, maintaining the work site in a clean and tidy condition and completing details of the repair or maintenance carried out in the maintenance log.
