(1589) Planning Engineer
JOB OBJECTIVES: To assist the Project Manager/ Planning Manager by preparing, tracking and updating the project schedules with the objective of complying with the approved contract schedule. Key Accountabilities: To participate in producing pre-design, design, tender and award, procurement, construction, and completion schedules in order to depict the project and contractual requirements in compliance with the planning procedures. To track and update information required for weekly, biweekly and monthly reports in order to monitor and report any variances from planned productivities and targets to ensure compliance as per the contract schedule. To participate in updating the Contract Schedule and progress monitoring portion of the monthly report as delegated by the superior in order to incorporate it in the monthly progress report submittal to the client and the management. To review and evaluate the subcontractor’s schedules, reports and monitoring submittals in order to align the subcontracted items as indicated in the contract schedule. To highlight actual progress deviations from scheduled progress and the Baseline/ Approved Contract Schedule in order to analyze the impact to the over-all completion and advise on mitigating the delays. To assist the Project Planning Manager/ Senior Planning Engineer in the analysis of alternatives and options in the programming of works to allow “what if” considerations where market fluctuations, implementing of changes, and or unanticipated events impact the design and construction schedule in order to formulate better delivery options that can be adopted. To collate and track documentation relevant to the preparation of extension of time schedule in order to substantiate in the preparation of claims in coordination with Commercial Department and the project team. To participate in progress and coordination meetings as necessary in order to discuss the status of the project. Industry Type : Oil & Gas / Petroleum Functional Area : Engineering Desired Candidate Profile QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: + 7 years in construction with Managerial experience.
