Job Purpose: Responsible for the end-to-end land farming technical operation from stocking of fingerlings to harvesting. Key Responsibility Areas: • Plans, directs, oversees and coordinate day to day operations of the land farm business in UAE • Directs and oversees all land farm production activities and personnel • Directs production activities to ensure safety and compliance with biosecurity and quality control standards and regulatory compliance • Ensures all facilities and investments are effectively and efficiently managed, utilized and operated • Plans and develops asset projection report • Monitors and controls costs • Plans use of land farm technical staff and provides support and direction to team members • Plans and develops production and harvest schedule (per month and per tank) • Plans and develops raw material budgets and manages raw material inventory • Plans and develops feeding schedule (per month and per tank) • Reviews and ensures accuracy of mortality and harvest reports (per month and per cage) • Reports on land farm production results including but not limited to mortalities, harvests, fish weights, fish counts, fish feed • Monitors health of produce and takes appropriate actions when required • Tracks and ensures maintenance of equipment and tanks • Monitors and ensures water supply quality • Reviews and maintains stock records • Enforces and oversees high safety standards for all land farm staff and visitors • Manages, monitors and evaluates performance of reporting personnel Industry Type : Agriculture / Dairy / Poultry / Livestock Functional Area : Other Desired Candidate Profile Key Performance Indicators: • Actual production vs. Targeted production • Number of safety violations • Improvements in quality • Meeting Business revenue/profit targets Competencies Required: • Ability to lead, plan and manage change • Knowledge of the practical application of fish farming science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. • Advanced knowledge of marine fish cage farming, offshore operation • Knowledge of farming machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources. • Strong negotiation and communication skills Educational qualification: Bachelors in Zoology/ PG in Aquaculture Experience: 10-15 years of relevant experience
