Skills Provision is assisting in the recruitment of a Contracts Manager for our client a leading industrial contractor in Saudi Arabia.Previous experience working with Saudi Aramco would be a distinct advantage. This company, thanks to their extensive international client base and a workforce of over 60,000 has gained a reputation as one of the best industrial contractors in the Middle East; and now due to their continued success are seeking a Contracts Manager to join their ever expanding team. However please note the client has expressed a preference for a native born English speaker or a European National.The ideal candidate for this position must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and although not essential the addition of a qualification in Law/Contracts Management is highly desired. This must be supported by post-qualification experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, on construction projects and working with reputable Multidiscipline Contractors. Furthermore as a result of your previous work history and study you will be expected to have knowledge of contracts in Saudi Arabia and Other GULF Countries (previous experience with this cliental is preferable) as is knowledge of local Saudi laws.As this is a senior position experience, your duties will include but not be limited to….. Leading all activities related to contractual, legal, commercial and insurance issues related to contracts with clients including the drafting of contracts and generation of variation orders to maximize profits. Review the pre-award tender terms and conditions, to identify and mitigate commercial risk of the contract. Assess company’s obligations and liabilities, including insurance requirements, bank guarantee wordings, payments terms, etc… Contract formulation, review and preparation for signature. Contracts management and administration. Handling contractual, legal, commercial and insurance issues related to main contracts and purchase orders with suppliers/vendors.
