They are currently recruiting for the position of DCS Operator, based in Bangalore, India. Job Description Operate DCS control console to coordinate and regulate process variables various process and utility streams according to prescribed schedules. Operate ESD/F&G control console to coordinate and Emergency scenarios Read processing schedules, operating logs, and laboratory recommendations to determine changes in equipment controls required to produce specified quantity and quality. Set controls to adjust process variables, such as flows, temperatures and pressures Responsible for recording, compiling, reporting and documenting operating data, and monitoring process indicators. Coordinate the start-up, shut-down (normal & emergency) and normal operations/maintenance activities with lead operator and field operators. Perform basic calculations for determining process parameters and material balances. Responsible for preparation such as plant isolation for day-to-day maintenance work. Responsible for maintaining the plant Operational Registers like overrideLOTO, PTW, Shift change over, valve status registers Responsible for Alarm management of DCS and ESD Systems. Supporting Site Activities as delegated by the Site Operations Manager including Emergency Response, Shift responsibilities. Skills & Experience Graduate/Diploma in Chemical/ Mechanical with moderate years experience in Plant operation in an Oil and gas industries, laboratory and pilot plant experimental installations environment, preferably in an R&D environment Proficient skills in operating DCS and ESD systems - Preferably Emerson DeltaV system. Excellent knowledge and understanding of equipment/plant operation and maintenance Report writing and presentation skills. Excellent mechanical and chemistry knowledge as well as mathematical theories and applications Knowledge of F&G detection , FAPA System, Fire suppression systems. Basic knowledge about electrical systems. Able to understand the P&ID, C&E, Drawings Demonstrate the HSSE requirements Awareness of Process Safety standards in experimental installations including Pilot Plants Demonstrate active stakeholder engagement with different process teams, utility maintenance teams. Proactive, outspoken and quick decision making Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook Desirable Experience with flammable and toxic chemicals with knowledge of chemical compatibility and MSDS requirements for hazardous substances Knowledge of DCS/ PLCs, automation and associated programming Quality assurance programs and lab record documentation Experience and certification in Fire Fighting, First aid is desirable Good communication skills in English, Hindi and Kannada and be comfortable in team-oriented, collaborative environment. Demonstrated experience of working with local contractors Indian local national salary and employment terms apply. This is a contract position. The rate for this position is negotiable.
