Job Description Introduction: Dovre Group is seeking an experienced Planner for a potential opportunity on an offshore Nova Scotia, Canada Project. The Planner will support our Clients Drilling & Wells management team. The role requires a sound working knowledge of the planning and scheduling methodologies especially those used throughout the Oil & Gas industry. Description: Promote and practice company values in nurturing a safe, creative, innovative and enjoyable work environment; Develop baseline schedule which includes ensuring task sequencing, task relationships, and task durations to align with clients milestones. The plan will be multi-discipline and include subcontractor activities. Update and maintain the project schedule. Identify and record delays and gaps in comparison to the project baseline. Monitor and forecast on a regular basis and analyze critical path, total float and the work sequence. Progress monitoring and reporting, including evaluation of progress of the Project. Attend daily coordination meetings with the client. Accurate and timely reporting of work progress, earned value and performance. Ensure all project scope changes are captured and reflected in the project schedule. Develop weekly progress reports and provide recommendations, forecasts, analysis and corrective actions in a timely manner. Assist the project managers with the development and monitoring of project metrics to help assess the heath of a project with respect to progress, schedule compliance and efficiency. Working closely with the project managers and field supervisors in identifying work fronts to be resourced as per the plan. Requirements: Nova Scotia residents preferred A certified engineering technologist with 3 -5 years in a project planning role Proficient in the use of Microsoft software - Excel, Word, Power Point, Project. Written communication excellent writing skills, clear, accurate and concise; excellent use of grammar; able to understand and use technology appropriately; good use of graphics; Oral communication speaks clearly, listens carefully; questions astutely, presentation skills well developed; Results oriented gets job done right, delivers results, continuously improves, displays a dynamic approach, demonstrates energy and enthusiasm; Flexible willing to change priorities, takes on additional responsibility as necessary; Initiative self-starter; perceives a need and fulfills it in an effective and efficient manner; Offer: Dovre Group is an equal opportunity employer.
