Role Overview Amec Foster Wheeler, a recent winner of the Glassdoor Employees Choice Award for Best Place to Work in 2016 - UK Category, is looking for an Onshore HSSE Advisor to join our Oil and Gas project delivery operation for a duration of 12 months. You will join the Health Safety Security and Environment Department (HSSE) which provides support for the business and project delivery by ensuring the implementation of the HSSE management systems across all oil and gas projects both onshore and offshore. HSSE management is responsible for facilitating and organising HSSE processes to ensure a proactive approach to HSSE management including goal setting, planning, and implementation of processes and providing monitoring and assurance to line and functional leadership on the effectiveness of the implementation. Attaining a sustainable incident free workplace and environment requires a strong commitment from leadership, management and all individuals. The HSSE team is responsible for providing the support and guidance required to achieve this by promoting an enthusiastic HSSE culture that delivers positive commitment to, and engages all project team members. Project This will be an onshore office based position providing day to day support to Wells Department onshore and offshore, on operational health and safety matters, and act as initial point of contact in the HSSEQ Department. Key Responsibilities Attendance at Wells department morning meetings, and follow up on issues as required Provide Wells department operations with support and advice as necessary and when requested Assure quality on Synergi incident reports and appropriateness of corrective actions for Wells department related incidents Direct and support Wells department with preparation of relevant regulatory (Offshore Safety Directive Regulator (OSDR)) reporting Represent HSSEQ during any inspection of Drilling MODUs Provide primary interface with drilling contractors HSSEQ department Management of notification of combined operations, including timely submission to OSDR Establish and maintain HSSEQ management system interfacing documentation for MOUK with drilling contractors. Provide Wells department with support and advice as required, on interpretation of relevant statutory provisions, including preparation of material to aid consultation on and communication of requirements. Assist Wells department with selection process of suitable service providers Verifying RIDDOR report contents from Wells department for which MOUK are the Responsible Person Support Wells management on communication of Incident Free to their operations Where appropriate lead investigations into Wells department HSE incidents Conduct inspections and audit as required of Wells department Or any other tasks as assigned from time to time with the agreement of the line manager Classification of incidents and preparation of investigation reports when required Interpretation of GMS requirements when asked for guidance from Wells department Interpretation of legal requirements from relevant health and safety legislation Identification of relevant service providers and HSE criteria to use during selection process Content of GMS documents for which they are Focal Point Role Requirements NEBOSH General Certificate. IOSH Managing Environmental Responsibilities (or Similar). Auditor Training Member of IOSH Valid BOSIET / MIST / EBS Practical hands on experience on working in an operation oil and as environment particularly drilling operations Detailed knowledge of UKCS offshore health and safety legistlation Knowledge of legistlation and systems for dealing with radioactive substances including NORM, radiography sources and down hole logging tool sources Detailed working knowledge of (RIDDOR) and OGP reporting requirements and standards
