For one of our project, we are looking for a Construction Manager for a Coal Fired Power Plant Project. Position We are looking for a Construction Manager to be involved on an Ultra-Supercritical (USC) Coal-Fired Power Plant of 2×693 MW generation capacity with FGD and SCR, coal unloading and handling facilities, sea water intake and outfall structures as well as the ash disposal facilities. You will be responsible to follow construction activities of the EPC Contractor. You will report to the Project Manager of the client. Together with the Lead Engineers and perspective supervisors of each discipline (including the planning & HSE engineers), the Construction Manager is the first responsible for the performance of the technical staff and delivers quality to meet Customer’s satisfaction and to support the PM/SM by: •Participating in the final conceptual design topic meetings (knowledge sharing); •Organising the site team in order to supervise the EPC Contractor’s construction progress including commissioning until the start-up (Inspection witnessing, clearing punch list items, issuing mechanical completion certificates, turnover packages readiness, checking and implementing commissioning procedures…); •Ensure the EPC Contractor’s compliance with all the site HSE rules and regulations at every stage of construction; •Supervision of site deliveries and site storage (spare parts excluded) by the EPC Contractor; •Organization of the site lay-out, offices, storage area, etc.; •Organization of the site meetings (internal and with EPC Contractor) -> (discipline weekly progress meetings with EPC Contractor); •Monitor and check the EPC Contractors’ work across each discipline in order to provide the PM with relevant information to check EPC Contractor invoices; •Provide the PM with inputs for the monthly progress reports to the Client. Collect relevant technical information through technical coordination meetings; •Participating with the PM (scope split) in the writing of the end-of-project report, together with the Client, with a view in sharing the positive and negative findings about the project; •In charge of the operation integration of the local engineers within the client’s site team; •Follow-up of the supplies delivered by the EPC Contractor, site time schedule, start-up, etc..; •Verification of the site logbook managed by the EPC Contractor. Issue the OE logbook; •Follow-up of the EPC Contractor’s actual progress versus planned one and reporting to the Planning Engineer and the PM/SM; •Daily management of on-site technical personnel (hours present, leave, etc.) for the personnel reporting directly to him; people management of the on-site personnel (presence, holiday, recovery time, shift management…). Profile •Having at least a bachelor degree in Engineering with 10 years of experience as a Construction Manager in a Coal-Fired Power Plant of similar capacity and technology; •Proven experiences and extensive knowledge in CFPP process, mechanical process, mechanical equipment, USC boiler as well as electrical equipment and instrumentation; •Good knowledge of applicable codes, norms and standards; •English & French languages are mandatory. EXPERIENCE in A COAL FIRED POWER PLANT PROJECT IS MANDATORY Duration : 23 month mission in Morocco
