Our Client is looking for a LEAD ENGINEER (NFA WELLHEAD JACKET PLATFORM PROJECT) Terms & Condition: Position type : Contract Duration : TBC Location : Doha, Qatar Status : Rotation 29 x 27 Work location: Office based OR Site based (TBC) Qualification: Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline and additional experience / specialized courses in Project Management, Leadership, Team Building skills, Negotiation and Conflict Management. Experience: Minimum 18 years project related experience (minimum 10 years in Engineering design plus Project Management in Oil & Gas Industry including 6 years in offshore environment. Accomplished communication skills and effective interpersonal relationship & management skills. Excellent problem solving and decision making skills. Excellent motivation, leadership and team building skills. Accomplished project management and planning skills Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation, mediation and arbitration skills with the ability to influence others and manage change. Good understanding of all engineering disciplines. Good understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and QA/QC issues and appreciation of their impacts on projects. Leadership skills Computer literacy in appropriate software. Excellent knowledge of Corporate / International standards related to Oil & Gas Industry. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Sets priorities of assigned project and with contractors/consultants and work delegation to subordinates. Provides Project Management guidance and support to all sub-ordinate Senior Project Engineers and co-ordinates with all Project Team members Monitors quality of work, budgets and overall progress of project, and validating and endorsing work done by Contractors versus invoices Monitors and takes corrective actions on overall progress of assigned projects and interfaces with other relevant COMPANY Departments, Government Ministries / Agencies and Third Parties to ensure that project safety, cost, schedule and quality are achieved or improved upon Plans and co-ordinates engineering studies, designs, topography and construction works within his sphere of operation, including preparation of budgets, control and timely commitment of same to ensure that facilities can be handed over to Operations on time, within budget and to acceptable quality. Leads improvement to work practices and execution strategies Provides input in the development of Corporate Specifications and Interdepartmental and Departmental Procedures. Supervises subordinates both technically and administratively and manages staff through coaching, delegation, and identification of training needs and monitoring of performances, to ensure optimum resource utilization, adherence to procedures, and best work practices. Conducts risk assessment of assigned projects and ensures implementation of mitigating actions. Reviews Asset Holders new and additional project requirements and provides inputs on acceptance to implement such requirements. Reviews and endorses critical EPIC Deliverables Prepares, reviews and endorses project execution strategies, shutdown requirements and ensures subordinates compliance. Manages and controls Capital budgets to ensure expenditure is in line with approved budgets Reviews, assesses and resolves Contractors time and cost related claims, and endorses settlement of undisputed final accounts and variations to contracts. Negotiates and resolves complex project problems, both internally and with Contractors / Suppliers / Specialists. Resolves complex/major problems relating to safety, quality and environmental issues with input from all sources. Supervises subordinates on monitoring of the project progress and initiates remedial action where necessary to ensure Contractor compliance with project milestones. Makes cost effective decisions, and ensures that COMPANY obtains best value for money. Ensures that all environmental and legal obligations/compliances are adhered to for the assigned projects Prepares own submissions and sanction submissions by subordinates ,with appropriate recommendations to the relevant tender committees and reviews technical, contractual and commercial related issues within the Corporate Procedures or otherwise facilitates decision by the Project Manager or appropriate Tender Committee. Interfaces with Operations, Field Development and other departments to develop statement of requirements, review Asset Holders new and additional project requirements and provides inputs on acceptance to implement such requirements Participates at the required level in the ongoing development and training of the Department’s Qatari Employees including input to Personal Career Plans (PCPs.) Reviews, finalises and issues weekly and monthly project progress reports for senior management. Ensures the integration of corporate requirement / policies into the assigned project. Interfaces closely with customer “operation and Asset Holder “and obtains feedback for continuous improvements of Projects End-Products. APPLY
