HSEQ SUPERINTENDENT We are currently recruiting for a HSEQ Superintendent on behalf of our Oil and Gas client, this position is based onshore in Aberdeen with occasional offshore visits. The role is to ensure and monitor compliance with Legislation, Company Policies and Industry Best Practice in all areas of Health, Safety and Environmental performance. Provides impartial HSE advice, supports and challenges decision making process. Ensure and execute effective management and follow up of HSEQ matters, in close cooperation with HSE and QA department. Other duties include; Ensure that all activities, for which he/she is responsible, are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements Provide day-to-day HSEQ guidance and support to the Operations Manager and the offshore crew and management. Coordinate and follow up all HSE related activities for the unit, including joint efforts with Oil Companies and relevant general Offshore Industry Initiatives. Promoting and encouraging sustained implementation and continuous improvement of best HSE practice, culture and performance Monitor HSE performance through quarterly (as a minimum) HSE Inspections offshore, with focus on implementation of and practical execution of HSE related work tools during offshore visits. Give advice in HSE related work practices during offshore visits. Prepare HSE statistics and establish and assess HSEQ performance and trends of the operation. Coordinate and administer the establishment of annual HSE programs and Leading or participating in risk assessments. Utilizing formal risk assessment tools. Assist in implementing and monitoring compliance with standards as required (ISM/ ISPS/ ISO 9001/ ISO 14001/ OHSAS 18001). Participating in the onshore Emergency Response duty rota as required. Assist in maintaining HSE related procedures and manuals Qualifications Degree in a related technical discipline and NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety combined with experience in a similar role. Ideally - membership of IOSH. Evidence of additional HSE training and competency. Must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of current Offshore Health & Safety Legislation. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite. Excellent written and communication skills in English. Certification to travel offshore. APPLY
