Corialis Engineers (Akka Technologies group) is looking for a Senior Site Chemical Engineer for one of its clients, a project of Coal-Fired Power Plant. The Senior Site Chemical Engineer will be responsible to follow construction activities of the EPC Contractor related to the applicable equipment and systems. This function involves the implementation of the following main tasks: Follow-up, advise, reporting on erection and commissioning activities of all the plant systems related to chemistry, such as water treatment plant, waste water treatment plant, Water Steam Cycle dosing and sampling systems, Electrochlorination system, chemistry follow up of the cycle and cooling water system and all others systems in relation with Chemistry. Informing the CM on dangerous situations, non-respect of HSE rules or incidents; Management and follow-up of design modes, based on instructions from the home office; Inspecting the EPC Contractor commissioning activities, verifying compliance with execution drawings and documents (commissioning procedures etc.); Carrying out on-site inspections; Work closely and support the other Lead Engineers and the Commissioning Manager to ensure the mechanical completion and the commissioning of the relevant equipment and systems; Ensure the quality of water chemistry during the clean-up of the boiler, filling operations, as well as during the wet conservation of the boiler; Taking active part for the commissioning of the relevant systems e.g., the desalination, demin water production, wastewater treatment plants etc.. Holding weekly meetings with the Contractors: progress, problems, interfaces, etc.; Liaise with the Client site team on technical matters; Keeping informed of conditions in the environment and constraints of all kinds that could affect the work for which he is responsible for; collaborating with the CM in order to ensure compliance with the safety rules and instructions on-site; Ensuring compliance of the EPC Contractor with the quality and quantity requirements (including deadlines) under their respective Contracts; Follow-up the punch list items for the applicable systems; Profile: Having at least a bachelor degree in Engineering with 10 years of experience as a Lead Mechanical Engineer / Chemist Engineer in a Coal-Fired Power Plant of similar capacity and technology; Proven experiences and extensive knowledge in Power Plant Chemistry and CFPP process, mechanical process, mechanical equipment, USC boiler as well as electrical equipment and instrumentation; Having worked within ENGIE group (former GDF Suez) will be an advantage; Good knowledge of applicable codes, norms and standards; English & French languages are mandatory.
