The Role: • As a member of the BDJF Subsea Quality team, actively contribute to the performance of the group in terms of vessel upgrades, non-destructive examination, fabrication, pipe coating and insulation activities. • Support the Quality Control Leads and Construction Managers. • Ensure that all Project Quality Control requirements are adhered to by the Consortium Contractor. • Provide direct support to Project during vessel upgrade, load out and subsea installation activities. • Verify that production and compilation of Project Quality Records are compiled in a format for handover to the Company Operations Group. • Provide technical support to the Project Quality Manager during related audits across the Consortium Contractor work scope. • Ensure Consortium Contractor implements full control of Company approved Weld Procedure Specifications and complies with supporting WPQR documentation. • Ensure Consortium Contractor fully implements Company approved NDE procedures and required reporting to Company. • Ensure Consortium Contractor fully implements Company approved Quality and Inspection and Test Plans. • Provide on-site assistance to resolve Consortium Contractor technical issues relating to welding, NDE and coating qualification and production. • Generate weekly reports and highlight areas of concern directly to the NDE Co-ordinator. • Carry out Quality surveillance of prime Consortium Contractor and sub-contractor activities • Implement the Company Construction Quality Plan for all construction related activities. • Supports Company HSE to ensure the on-site safety of all Company employees. • Provides guidance, advice and training to project team, contractors, suppliers, inspectors and third parties as required to ensure understanding of the project Quality objectives. • Assist Company planning with progress reporting of construction progress against the approved schedule. • Identifies risks in the contractor’s and sub-contractors which may lead to audits being required to be carried out by the project Quality Assurance Engineers / Quality Manager. Essential Skills / Qualifications: • Minimum of CSWIP Level II (3.2 Category ‘B’) Welding Inspection. • NACE or CSWIP Painting/Coating Inspection • NDE certification in MT, PT, UT, RT • Minimum 10 year’s offshore experience, with particular emphasis on the welding construction and coating of pipeline systems. • Knowledge of Company specifications. • Experienced in the installation of offshore/ subsea pipelines using anchored pipe-lay barges. • Experience of Client Quality Management of large complex offshore projects. • Experience interfacing with engineering and construction contractors. • Excellent understanding and application of Quality Management principles. • QA Lead Auditor Qualification (desirable). • Previous experience of working in Azerbaijan (desirable) Desirable Skills / Qualifications: • QA Lead Auditor Qualification (desirable). • Previous experience of working in Azerbaijan (desirable)
