Responsibilities will include: Ensure that all appropriate Instrument maintenance and technical records including plant history are updated as required using Maximo Review the types of stock holding levels of Instrument equipment held as spare parts, and optimize the inventory, stock management and co-ordination of the ordering of spares in conjunction with the Buyer Continually review effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems and Reliability / Availability performance of assets Carry out all work in accordance with Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems Key role in ensuring that technical integrity is not compromised on a installation through any maintenance activities Continually monitor all Operational Excellence / Maintenance related business targets and report where required to onshore Maintenance Superintendent Ensure the quality of instrument engineering deliverables are compliant with current and future offshore legislation, agreements, regulatory and company standards Comply with HSE principles, policies and procedures Role model for safe and environmentally responsible behaviours. Monitor and report on progress and effectiveness Support integrated planning process to minimise plant downtime and optimise resources to ensure the completion of critical and breakdown maintenance activities Participate in the AFA process and provide technical and planning expertise to ensure modifications are implemented on time and within budget Manage allocated operations maintenance budget effectively with minimum waste Ensure TAR related activity and all Pre/Post related TAR activities are supported and prioritized ensuring maximum efficiency Actively work to reduce and manage maintenance backlogs Ensure effective and timely close out of Synergi and ICP actions. Conduct periodic site reviews/audits Participate in regular performance management dialogues with Operations Manager. Review and comment when necessary on technical documents produced by Vendors, 3rd party contractors and Companys Engineering Contractor. Review and respond to Technical Queries as required. Responsible as a Competent person for the approval of vendors, 3rd party contractors and Companys Main Engineering contractors technical documents in a timely manner. Participate in risk assessment, Root Cause Analysis, safe operation assessments. Prepare AFE budget applications Promote technological innovations that can be economically exploited to improve safety or production performance for Companys facilities reliability Education, Experience & Technical Qualifications HND or ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in an Instrument/Control engineering discipline with previous offshore maintenance and operations experience within the oil and gas industry preferred. Contract position - 6 month initially, onshore based with occasional offshore visits
