Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Principal Project Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. Be fully conversant with the Project Execution procedure, the Project Quality Plan and Project Coordination procedure. Ensure all Client standards and practices as described in the Work Scope are obtained, registered and available to the engineering team Control progress by ensuring that engineering operations are completed in accordance with approved project schedules. Ensure that unforeseen deviations are incorporated into the project schedules, and the procedures and Work Practices listed in the Project Engineering Quality Plan are applied as appropriate Co-ordinate FW/Client technical interface by obtaining data from Client and reviewing all drawings subject to Client approval before forwarding to Client Lead the discipline engineering team and provide guidance with regard to effective project set-up required to control the project Ensure lines of communication between FW and Client engineering team are established and documented. Establish procedures for the handover of engineering deliverables to FW construction and Client Document Management Group Provide guidance for the set-up of WebDMS for the control of deliverable storage and progress reporting Engage with the Engineering Systems group and IT to ensure all engineering and data base management tools are operable and available to appropriate team members Establish the use of metrics that will effectively report deliverable progress and issue status Monitor man hour expenditure for the Project engineering team Ensure the development and quality of the Engineering design through regular reviews and approval of MFD’s, Line Lists, Equipment lists and other design documents. Ensure project schedule provides for internal and Client reviews appropriate for the project phase. Act as the Project Safety Engineering representative with regards to safety reporting, management and closure of all review comments and actions. Identify contract changes and implement when approved Assume technical responsibility for all equipment and subcontracts not assigned to specialist engineers by preparing Subcontract requisitions, providing input to TBE’s and contract negotiations and approving supplier drawings as necessary Co-ordinate home office/site interface by maintaining regular contact with site, participating in commissioning activities as required and ensuring completion of as-built drawings Review all equipment requisitions prior to Manager Engineering’s signature and deputize for the Project Manager when necessary APPLY
