Job Description In conjunction with the Chad Project Services Manager, produce integrated project plans from early project stages ie concept / pre-FEED and FEED in order to facilitate business planning and budget activities. Develop detailed understanding of project schedule drivers (including specific procurement lead times, construction planning, contracting etc) in order to identify key priorities and milestones for most efficient and timely projects execution. Build and maintain optimum integrated project plans to drive London based company and Contractor FEED activities during Concept, FEED and Detail Design stages in order to meet or better business plan schedule requirements. Ensure contractor work plans are fully integrated and consistent with overall project plans. Monitor progress of London based activities against the detailed integrated project plans, identify any progress and resourcing shortfalls, and identify remedial measures to maintain the project progress according to plan. Ensure project plans incorporate Chad Project Services input from earliest stages so that project schedules are appropriate and consistent with construction planning requirements. Ensure consistent approach to planning across all FDP and non FDP projects. In conjunction with Chad Project Services team, develop and assure robust and consistent project cost estimates across all FDP projects, as appropriate for each project stage definition. Provide direction and guidance to London engineering contractors estimating activities to ensure appropriate estimate structures, level of detail and cost basis. Ensure Chad cost basis information is consistently incorporated in all London cost estimation activities. Compile and maintain cost estimation norms and factors based on best available Chad and market information. Monitor and report on project spend for London based activities ie Contractor engineering, other external London support contracts and procurement. Track and maintain incurred cost data and provide forecast to complete information for London based engineering, study and procurement activities. Support budget and AFE development and monitoring activities as required. Skills and Experience Bachelor degree or Technologist - Engineering (preferred). Accounting, Finance, Administration, Maths or other numerate degree considered. Substantial industry experience - the majority in E&P project environments supporting oil and gas developments across the whole project lifecycle. Experienced in providing project services cost and scheduling support to portfolios of onshore oil and gas projects. Significant project services experience in both Engineering Contractor and Operator companies. Prior experience in project engineering or project management would be well regarded. Prior roles relating to facilities construction, fabrication, commissioning and field operations would also be beneficial. Experience of working and executing projects in emerging economies, preferably in Africa. This role requires a highly experienced project services lead with a strong track record in planning and cost estimation relating to onshore E&P projects: Proven track record in equivalent positions within operator organisations and contractors. Full understanding of all stages a typical E&P project execution including engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning. Advanced training and experience utilizing Primavera, MS Excel, Project and Powerpoint. High attention to detail and ability to derive and apply clear methodologies to ensure consistent and traceable outputs. The role requires application of considerable evaluation and judgement. Understanding of cost management processes. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills - able to work collaboratively across discipline boundaries. Commercially and contractually astute. Demonstrates strong business acumen with respect to project funding and project cost analysis. Ability to operate on multiple levels and take a hands on approach. Excellent English communication and presentation skills, good report writing skills
