Job Description Responsible for completion/testing design and operational planning in Chad operations. Ensures HSE requirements are integral to all aspects of completion, well testing and well intervention activities. Contributes to delivering operational HSE performance. Provides operational programmes which account for and dictate best HSE practise. Leads by example during rig visits and foster a solid HSE culture. Ensures that all completion activities comply with company standards and governmental regulations. Overall responsibility for optimising completions/testing/well intervention well planning, costing and operations for one or more rigs. Provides completions input to team and well engineering delivery objectives as necessary. Ensures that all work within the area of responsibility is adequately documented and lessons learned are captured for the benefit of future client operations worldwide. Ensures well materials and service providers comply with specified quality assurance requirements. Liaises with sub-surface personnel to ensure reservoir requirements are delivered. Builds effective relationships and interacts professionally with internal/external stakeholders and service companies. Assists in the management of the service contracts and contractor performance process. Provides on-time well engineering services which represent best industry practice. Skills & Experience A University degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in mechanical or petroleum engineering is preferred but not essential. Fluent in English both written and spoken. Interpersonal skills necessary to establish good working relationships with team. High proficiency with IT and industry software including PetroFocus Completion’s Manager or equivalent WellCat Tubing Movement Modelling MS Suite Valid Well Control certification Extensive experience as a completions engineer with operating companies Preference of knowledge and experience in design and running of completions, including multi-fracs, sliding sleeves, water injectors and working in remote locations. Work experience in remote locations and knowledge of work environments in West Africa. Experience of fraccing, sand control, artificial lift and horizontal well completions. Knowledge of depleted reservoirs Low cost environments. This is a contract position on a 28:28 rotation. The rate for this position is negotiable.
